Clay Letter Bowls

This was the last of three projects I made for my Package Pals swap partner last month: a clay letter bowl.

Clay Letter Bowl

I’d seen this idea on pinterest, and loved the idea. I wanted to use oven bake clay though, and did things a bit differently (I want to make some more for myself soon – I’ll put together a tutorial when I do!)

My swap partner’s last name starts with an S, so that’s the letter I chose, and I engraved her name in the side before baking (mostly blurred in case she doesn’t want to share her last name with the interwebs)

  1. What a great idea! It’d be fun to make one for each of my kids’ desks. I’m hosting a linky party “One Creative Weekend” at OneCreativeMommy.com. I’d love for you to visit and link up this idea and/or anything else you’d like to share.

  2. Thanks for stopping by CountryMommaCooks and linking up at our Saturday Link and Greet Party…hope to see you again tonight : )

  3. Amazing idea. I am just curious about one thing though. What difference does it make if we use oven baked clay vs air dry clay for this project.
