Crochet Edging

Here’s a sneak peak of something I’ve been working on as a birthday present for my mom:

It’s a cute little scalloped trim. I used this tutorial (first part here) intended for a pillowcase trim from my crochet inspiration post last weekend. I used a size 3 yarn and a much larger hook than indicated in the tutorial – because that’s what I had (I9/5.5 mm instead of F5/3.75 mm). I still love the scalloped edging, even though you don’t see quite the same detail. It was super easy to follow – and totally doable for a long line rather than a loop like a pillowcase. If anyone’s interested in the modifications I made for a straight line instead of a loop, let me know.

I’ll be sharing this at some of these places.

  1. I love the edging. Looks beautiful! Thank you also for the kind comment on my baby sling tutorial. I really appreciate it. FYI-you will want to change your blogger profile to show your email address. That way fellow bloggers can reply back to your sweet comments! Right now you show up as a no-reply blogger.

    Thanks again!
